One of the crucial aspects of slots, is the amount of money they are programmed to give back to the player. Obviously, you can win big, but slots are not designed for the player to win over long periods of time.

However, the amount that a slot will take from a player on average, over a long period of time, can vary enormously between different slots. This is especially true for online casino slots, like the example games shown below

So, lets say you decide to play a penny slot and play 10-lines, to add to the excitement. That is 10c per spin. On average, you would be expected to lose 3% of that each time you spin the reels - that equates to 0.3c per spin.
