As god as the user interface is and as nice as the White Falls slot play, it's hard not to feel that some minor quality of life things are missing from this High 5 release, such as the presence of quick spins. Visually speaking, the title is also lagging behind most modern titles, as there’s not a lot of animation on the symbols themselves.

It’s human nature to wander into places we really have no place being. Despite not being aquatic creatures, human ambition had us climb onto ships and sail across entire oceans, climb the highest mountains, and even go into space to plant a flag on the Moon, just to show that we can do it. One of the frontiers we were always intent on conquering, that proves somewhat resistant to this day, is the thick jungle, which is also where White Falls’ theme takes us. The game offers a 6x4 playing field with a massive 466 ways to win, which are flexible and can be lowered or increased to what fits you best.

Theme associated icons include Lion fish, Angel Fish, and then a muscular man and a beautiful woman, which we feel is supposed to be similar to the idea of Tarzan. The Scatter symbol is a colourful Free Games symbol that can only appear on the third, fourth and fifth reel, while the Wild offers a similar theme and can appear in conjunction with the Jackpot icon, that only appears on the first reel.

Winning three or more Scatters at the same time will rewards between two to seven free spins if you play on just 5 paylines, but it will reward five to seven if you play on any other reel amount, which does mean a worse off experience for lower end gamblers in the long run. During free spins, a special White Falls Wild appears that can land on any position except the first reel, while all Scatters are turned into regular Wilds, and can only appear on the third, fourth and fifth reels.

On top of this, during the extra turns special feature, Wilds will expand leftward and substitute for all symbols in the same position on each reel of the initial Wild’s position, up to and including the second reel. Wins are only paid out after the Wilds expand.

When you take a look at everything, then, it’s clear that the special features aren’t particularly innovative. It doesn’t break new ground, and it’s geared to increase potential wins during free spins, but there’s nothing to really boost normal gameplay, which can become very monotone very quickly.

Because of this, White Falls comes out as a somewhat average title. While your enjoyment will be great during free spins, there’s nothing during normal gameplay to really spice things up. The game offers an RTP of 94.9% and the maximum win of 1000x times your wager for a jackpot and five Wilds win. Despite the less than stellar gameplay, the prizes alone make it worth trying out this High Five title and seeing if you get lucky enough.
